Four LFR firefighters deployed to assist in California wildfires

Lubbock Fire Rescue has deployed four of its firefighters to help with the wildfires in California.

These firefighters are specifically trained in wild land fires. Their joined with other Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System units from around Texas.

The wildfire has been burning for seven days scorching 365,000 acres across five counties and is only 20% contained. LFR says there are 224 fire apparatus from around the county with 1,665 personnel involved in the fight.
